Mobile testing

Run tests on iOS and Android cloud devices.

Operio installs your app on a cloud device and runs test steps against it. Each mobile run targets an uploaded build instead of a web URL.

Set up and run

  1. Create a project and choose Mobile. Project type cannot be changed later.
  2. Upload a build: a zipped iOS Simulator .app or an Android .apk.
  3. Write and publish a test. Describe actions and expected results in the app.
  4. Click Run or Run Suite and select the build.

You can upload iOS and Android builds to the same project. The selected build determines the device platform for each run.

Watch execution

Open a running case to see the device preview and activity. The preview shows a preparation message until the device is ready. Operio releases the device when the run ends; an idle device times out after five minutes.

Test cases, suites, test accounts, and run history work as they do in web projects. Suite schedules install the latest ready build for the platform you choose.

For CI, use the CLI upload and run example.
